The New York Knicks 2024 NBA Playoff lives are on the line Sunday afternoon against the Indiana Pacers, and they could have both OG Anunoby and Josh Hart in the lineup. Both players have been injured in the Eastern Conference semifinal series, clouding their availability for the win-or-go-home Game 7.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Josh Hart is dealing with a strained abdominal muscle suffered in Game 6. He asked out of the game several times and was eventually ruled out for the fourth quarter.
Hart will attempt to play through the injury to help his team on Sunday afternoon. He was pretty limited on Friday night, but he is going to give whatever he has left to be out there, even if he isn’t close to 100 percent healthy.

OG Anunoby has been sidelined since injuring his hamstring in Game 2. His injury wasn’t considered to be too serious, but at least 1-2 weeks sidelined was to be expected. In a bit of positive news, he has been upgraded to questionable for Game 7 according to Fred Katz of The Athletic.

That is a huge update for the New York Knicks, as they have been ruling their two-way forward out more than 24 hours in advance of games. That normally indicates that a player isn’t too close to returning to the court, but Anunoby has been ramping up his activity in recent days.
Having Josh Hart and OG Anunboy in the lineup Sunday afternoon would be a huge boost for the New York Knicks. They have embodied the next-man-up mantra, but have been showing some attrition in recent games.
If both are able to play, they likely won’t be 100 percent healthy. Tom Thibodeau could extend his bench, still giving minutes to Precious Achiuwa and Alec Burks, who have stepped up in the absence of their injured teammates.
